While new to First American Exchange Company, Andy has over 20 years in the 1031 Like-Kind Exchange industry. He has advised taxpayers on exchanges of all sizes and complexities. Until joining First American in 2022, he headed his own 1031 consulting firm which he lead for 16 years until moving back to his home state of Minnesota to focus on his family and continue serving taxpayers seeking his expertise in this niche section of the IRS code. Andy has been a keynote speaker at several state bar association’s tax sections, a guest on numerous podcasts and an educator with Lorman University on the topic of tax-advantaged real estate strategies.
